How to Choose Business Broadband for Your UK Premises
The right business connection depends on the services available at your exact address and how your team uses them. A headline download speed alone does not tell you whether a package meets your needs.
Start with your full installation address
Provide the postcode, building name or number, street, town and any suite or floor. Availability can differ between premises on the same street. ShanaLink uses your enquiry to request a supplier check; our quote form is not an instant live availability checker.
Compare broadband, full fibre and leased lines
Business broadband can suit everyday browsing, cloud applications and communications. Full fibre uses fibre to the premises, but speeds, upload capacity and service commitments vary by package. A leased line can provide dedicated bandwidth with symmetrical speeds and an agreement appropriate to more demanding requirements. Confirm the details of the specific product rather than assuming all business packages are identical.
Check upload demand and resilience
Tell us how many people use the connection at once, whether you make video calls, back up large files or host services. Consider how an outage would affect card payments, bookings and business phones. Ask about any backup option and its additional costs.
Plan Wi-Fi and business phones
A fast incoming connection does not guarantee coverage throughout a building. Routers and access points are selected for your premises and request. Equipment supply, installation and ongoing management should be confirmed separately. For phones, discuss handset needs, call handling and any existing numbers you want to retain; number transfers depend on provider checks.
